2013 Clayton Projects: Wydown Upgrades, Oak Knoll Playground, More

The suggested improvements are listed in the city's proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

Capital projects planned during the upcoming fiscal year in include the continued resurfacing of Wydown Boulevard, new streetlights downtown and the replacement of the playground at .

Those and other plans are highlighted in the proposed budget for fiscal year 2013, which begins Oct. 1. A public hearing about the budget is planned at 7 p.m. Aug. 28 at . The Clayton Board of Aldermen is expected to take a final vote on the budget Sept. 11.

According to a city document, a capital project:

  • Costs more than $25,000
  • Provides five or more years of benefit
  • Is an addition or significant improvement to fixed city assets
