2012 Clayton Mascot Nominees Being Accepted Through Late October

The 2012 Mascot of the Year contest will raise funds for the Clayton Century Foundation.

Proud pet owners may nominate their favorite companion animal for 2012 Mascot of the Year through Oct. 28, the city announced on its website.

The event began last year as a fundraiser for the Clayton Century Foundation, which is working to commemorate the city's 100th anniversary in 2013. Later, he represented the city at a ceremony .

Votes will be accepted in $5 increments starting Oct. 31 and continuing through Nov. 21. The winner of the competition will be notified Nov. 23 and announced publicly Dec. 2 during All That Glitters on Carondelet Plaza.
