Two Sentenced in Fraud Case Tied to Clayton

The Massachusetts men stole credit cards from lockers at St. Louis-area health clubs, then used them to purchase electronics, court documents state.

Two Massachusetts men were sentenced Wednesday to several years in prison for credit card fraud, a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Missouri states. Earlier this year, at , among other locations.

Jonathan Vendituoli, 55, of Swansea, MA, and Kevin Cooney, 54, of Belmont, MA, pleaded guilty in April to credit card fraud and conspiracy to commit credit card fraud. Vendituoli has been sentenced to 84 months in prison and ordered to pay more than $88,000 in restitution. Cooney has been sentenced to 60 months in prison and ordered to pay nearly $50,000.

The men used the cards to purchase electronics, cameras and computer gear throughout the St. Louis area, court documents state. They were arrested in Town and Country.
