Turn Down That Music: Noise Complaint Leads to Arrest

Tuesday, Sept. 17

  • Officers responded to an apartment in the 1000 block of Claytonia due to a loud music complaint. Upon arrival, the resident refused to turn down the music at the officers’ request. The resident was arrested and the music was turned off. The resident was later released on a summons.
  • Owner reported that person(s) unknown broke into the International Language Center and stole pieces of electronics and tools.
  • Victim stated that person(s) unknown broke into his vehicle while parked at Schnucks and stole electronics and tools.
  • Victim stated that person(s) unknown broke into her vehicle while it was parked in the Schnucks parking lot and stole her purse.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security detained a juvenile for stealing $16 in merchandise. The juvenile was arrested and later released to a guardian.
Wednesday, Sept. 18
  • Victim/store employee reported that person(s) unknown stole her personal cell phone from the sales counter at Verizon.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security detained a subject for stealing $89.98 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and later released on a summons.
  • Officers responded to Nordstrom where security detained a subject for stealing $108 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and later released on a state warrant application.
  • Officers responded to the 1300 block of Woodland for reports of an intoxicated subject damaging parked vehicles. Officers arrived, located and arrested the subject who was held pending a municipal warrant application.
