Wednesday, Aug. 1
A man was arrested on suspicion of stealing and assault after an incident near a County Cab. Police said the man tried to leave the taxi without paying the fare. The man then is suspected of having assaulted the driver, who was detaining the suspect for police. The city's court is expected to review the case.

Monday, Aug. 6
An unknown perpetrator spray-painted an ATM camera and keyboard at St. Louis Community Credit Union, 1436 S. Big Bend Blvd. It cost $4,500 to repair the machine.

Wednesday, Aug. 8
A 19-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of disturbing the peace at Victoria's Secret at the Saint Louis Galleria. Police said she threatened a store clerk for refusing to take a return. The city's prosecutor was expected to review the case.

Two unlocked women's bicycles were taken from the hallway outside an apartment in the 1100 block of Bellevue Avenue.

Two juveniles stole two cellphones valued at $1,100 from the Sprint Kiosk at the Galleria. It happened after the employee on duty had stepped away from the business. The juveniles were seen running north through the mall and could not be located.

Thursday, Aug. 9
A 55-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stealing at Schnucks, 6600 Clayton Rd. He was being held while police applied for a warrant.

A cellphone valued at $300 was stolen at BlackFinn American Grille at the Galleria. The phone belongs to an employee.

Six shirts valued at nearly $600 were stolen from Izod Lacoste at the Galleria. A video camera captured the theft but technical problems prevented police from viewing footage at the time.

Friday, Aug. 10
Two perpetrators stole merchandise valued at more than $2,000 from Nordstrom at the Galleria. They ran from the store and left in a vehicle with a covered license plate.

Two 16-year-olds were arrested on suspicion of stealing from Macy's at the Galleria. They were turned over to the St. Louis County Family Court when neither parents nor guardians could be located.

Saturday, Aug. 11
One person was arrested on suspicion of stealing two sets of headphones from the Apple store at the Galleria.

A driver's side window was broken out of a vehicle overnight in the 1400 block of Bredell Avenue. Nothing had been taken from inside the car.

One person was arrested on suspicion of stealing three shirts and one pair of jeans from Macy's.
