Richmond Heights Police: U-Haul Theft, Stealing

Richmond Heights Police dealt with several thefts at the Galleria and other crime between Feb. 22-26 2013.

The following information was supplied by the Richmond Heights Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Feb. 22

  • Officers responded to Nordstrom where security had detained an employee for stealing $1148.07 by means of several fraudulent returns. The subject was arrested and later released on a state warrant application.
  • Officers responded to the food court of the Saint Louis Galleria in reference to a fight in progress. Two subjects were arrested for disorderly conduct. Both were held pending a municipal warrant application.
  • Officers responded to H&M where security had detained a subject for stealing $54.90 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and held pending a municipal warrant application.

Saturday, Feb. 23

  • An apartment building owner on Ethel reported that a subject had backed a U-Haul truck onto the property and was unlawfully removing items from the common basement area. Upon confronting the subject, the subject fled the scene in the U-Haul truck.

Tuesday, Feb. 26

  • A traffic stop resulted in the driver’s arrest for outstanding warrants. An inventory search of the vehicle located drug paraphernalia. The driver was arrested, issued municipal court summonses and later released to another authority on her warrants.
