Wednesday, Jan. 4
A 17-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at , 1550 . He received a summons and was released.

Thursday, Jan. 5
A 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and trespassing at , 1105 Saint Louis Galleria. Police discovered he had been banned from the mall because of an earlier stealing charge. He was being held until the city's prosecutor could review the case.

A perpetrator tried to get into a home in the 7600 block of Lindbergh Drive by breaking a back window. The resident made the discovery after returning home from work. An investigation was ongoing.

An employee's cellphone and wallet were stolen from a purse kept under her desk at , 6420 Clayton Rd.

A perpetrator put sugar into the gas tank of a vehicle owned by an employee of AMC Esquire 7, 6706 Clayton Rd. It happened while the employee worked. 

Friday, Jan. 6
Three women, two age 15 and one 16, were arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Macy's and turned over to juvenile authorities.

A 25-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at , 1442 Saint Louis Galleria. The stolen items also were damaged by the removal of sensor tags, police said. She was released pending a review of the case by state prosecutors.

A 16-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at , 1087 Saint Louis Galleria. She was released to her mother.

The window of a vehicle was broken out overnight while parked on the street in the 1700 block of Stockard Avenue.

Saturday, Jan. 7
A mountain bike was stolen from an unlocked shed in the backyard of a home in the 7500 block of Ethel Avenue. The victim last saw the bike Dec. 1.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at , 2440 Saint Louis Galleria. He was being held until the city's prosecutor could review the case after police discovered they had an active warrant for his arrest.

Sunday, Jan. 8
A resident of the 1400 block of Woodland Drive told police someone has been using her identity to buy prescription drugs. An investigation was ongoing.

Monday, Jan. 9
A 57-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of fraud after police said she tried to use a fake $100 bill at , 7800 Clayton Rd. She was released pending a review of the case by state prosecutors.

A 30-year-old man who visited St. Mary's to be treated in its emergency-room was arrested on suspicion of stealing after police said he took an ER technician's cellphone. He was being held until the city's prosecutor could review the case.

Tuesday, Jan. 10
A perpetrator ran away from Game Stop, 2049 Saint Louis Galleria, after stealing more than $300 in video games. An investigation was ongoing.

A victim reported being robbed at gunpoint by the occupants of a car that stopped as he walked along the sidewalk in the 1200 block of Laclede Station Road. An investigation was ongoing.

A 26-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of assault after fighting at a home in the 1400 block of Woodland Drive. The woman accused the man of having pointed a handgun at her. Both were being held pending a review of the case by state prosecutors.

Wednesday, Jan. 11
A resident of the 1400 block of Woodland Drive told police someone used his personal information in an attempt to make several online purchases. An investigation was ongoing.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Macy's. He was being held pending a review of the case by state prosecutors.

Thursday, Jan. 12
A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of property damage after police said he broke several windows in the 7300 block of Dale Avenue. It happened at the home of his estranged girlfriend. He was being held until the city's prosecutor could review the case.

Friday, Jan. 13
Three women, two age 13 and one 14, were arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Macy's. All were released to their parents.

One employee reportedly punched another at , 6734 Clayton Rd. The victim declined to press charges.

Saturday, Jan. 14
A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of failure to comply and resisting arrest in the 1500 block of Hanley Road. He began fighting with officers after they took him into custody for refusing to stop walking in traffic, police said. He had to be subdued with a Taser.

Monday, Jan. 16
MoDOT repaired damage caused by graffiti found at a highway underpass in the 1200 block of Laclede Station Road.

A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his ex-girlfriend in the 1200 block of Woodland Drive. He was being held until the city's prosecutor could review the case.

Tuesday, Jan. 17
Checkbooks, a passport and a car stereo were stolen during four evening car break-ins at the Galleria parking lot.
