Richmond Heights Police Blotter: Resident Files Complaint Stating Church's Speakers Are Too Loud During Sunday Service

A look at incidents reported by the Richmond Heights police.

  • A 16-year-old female and a 17-year-old male were arrested on suspicion of shoplifting , 1550 . The16-year-old was turned over to the while the 17-year-old received a summons and was released.

March 24

  • Security officers at , 6420 Clayton Rd., observed several people breaking into a car parked in the hospital's garage. They managed to escape. An investigation showed that items had been stolen from two vehicles.
  • A 16-year-old male and his 12-year-old sister were arrested at Macy's on suspicion of shoplifting. They were turned over to their mother.
  • A 38-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of stealing money from one of the fountains at the Galleria. He was being held pending a review of the case by the city's prosecutor because of his criminal record.
  • Two 16-year-old males were arrested on suspicion of stealing and trespassing at the Galleria. Police say the two stole money from one of the fountains at the mall after it closed, then ran from security. Police later caught them. They were turned over to the county's Juvenile Detention Center after their parents could not be located.

  • A 15-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of stealing and trespassing after he snuck into without paying. Police say he also refused to leave when told. They later released him to his grandmother.

March 26

  • A victim reported that someone broke out a window of her car while it was parked in a Galleria lot and stole a duffle bag and wallet.
  • A victim reported that someone took her shopping bag of clothing after she accidentally left it at , 2055 Saint Louis Galleria.
  • Three men ages 43, 50 and 51 were arrested in the 7600 block of Lindbergh Boulevard after a traffic stop revealed they were in possession of narcotics. The three were released to another agency seeking their arrest.
  • A victim reported that electronic items were stolen from her vehicle as it was parked in the lot of AMC Esquire 7, 6706 Clayton Rd. Police say that there were no signs of forced entry and that the vehicle might have been unlocked at the time.
  • A 1986 Buick Regal was stolen from the Galleria parking garage. It was found stripped two days later in an alley of the Penrose Park neighborhood of St. Louis City.

  • A resident who neighbors Life Changing Christian Fellowship Church, 1430 Silverton Pl., filed a complaint stating that the volume of the church's interior loudspeakers is too high during its Sunday service. The city's prosecutor is expected to review the case.
  • A 17-year-old female was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at , 1491 Saint Louis Galleria. She received a summons and was released.

March 29

  • A dog bit an 8-year-old girl on the upper thigh as she was petting it in the 2000 block of Princeton Avenue. She did not require medical attention. The dog's owner had given her permission to pet the dog.

March 30

  • A victim reported that someone broke into her 2006 Buick Lucerne and stole electronics items. The vehicle had been parked at , 8040 Clayton Rd.
  • A 19-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of stealing , 1105 Saint Louis Galleria. He was held pending a review of the case by the city's prosecutor because of his criminal history.
  • A 23-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of stealing at Love Culture. He was held on a $500 bond after police learned that the city had previously issued a warrant for him in connection with a traffic violation.

March 31

  • Two males, ages 16 and 14, were arrested on suspicion of assault at The Heights. Police say they were fighting on the basketball court. Both were released to relatives.
  • Two tenant storage lockers were burglarized at an apartment building in the 1200 block of Bellevue Avenue.
  • A victim reported that someone broke out a window of her 2007 Volvo and stole a duffle bag as the vehicle was parked in a Galleria lot.
