Richmond Heights Police Blotter: Items Stolen from Multiple Unlocked Cars

A look at incidents reported by the Richmond Heights police.

  • A victim reported that someone keyed his 2007 Honda Element while it was parked at Schnucks, 6600 Clayton Rd.

April 19

  • A victim told police someone intentionally put nails under her vehicle's tires as it was parked on the street in the 7400 block of Hoover Avenue.

  • A former employee of Dillard's, 1105 Saint Louis Galleria, was observed stealing merchandise. He left the area before security could stop him. Police were looking for him.
  • A victim reported that her 2006 Mazda was stolen from the driveway of her home in the 1200 block of Laclede Station Road while she was in the hospital.

April 21

  • A 17-year-old female was arrested on suspicion of illegally soliciting money and possession of drug paraphernalia on a street corner in the 1200 block of Brentwood Boulevard. Police said they discovered the drug paraphernalia after stopping her on suspicion of soliciting funds. She received a summons and was released.

  • A victim reported that someone broke into his 2002 Cadillac Escalade while it was parked in a lot at the Galleria.
  • A 16-year-old female was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Urban Outfitters, 1491 Saint Louis Galleria. She was later turned over to her mother.
  • Two 13-year-old females and and one 15-year-old female were arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Macy's, 1550 Saint Louis Galleria. One was released to her parents. The other two were turned over to the St. Louis County Juvenile Detention Center when police were unable to find their parents.

April 23

  • Three people stole more than $1,900 in jeans from Macy's before fleeing in a car that had been waiting for them. An investigation was ongoing.
  • A 42-year-old female was taken into custody on suspicion of stealing at Macy's. A male accomplice fled the scene as security personnel tried to arrest the two. Officials were seeking the man.
  • Two 17-year-old females were arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct at the Galleria after they declined to show identification according to the mall's Parental Guidance Required Program, refused to immediately leave and cursed at security officers. They received summonses and were released.

April 24

  • A victim reported that someone got into her unlocked 2008 Nissan Mirano as it was parked in a private driveway in the 7400 block of Arlington Drive. Several items had been stolen from it.

April 25

  • A victim reported that someone got into his unlocked 2002 Ford Ranger as it was parked in a private driveway in the 2100 block of Princeton Place. Several items had been stolen from it.
  • A victim reported that someone entered his unlocked 2003 Chevy Silverado as it was parked in a private driveway the 1700 block of Boneta Avenue. Several items had been stolen from it.
