Richmond Heights Police Blotter: House Break-in Reported on La Veta

A look at incidents reported by the Richmond Heights police.

  • A 21-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding warrant from another agency after a traffic stop in the 7700 block of Snowden Avenue. Police then were led to the woman's house, where police said a known fugitive lived. Police did not find the fugitive but discovered narcotics. An investigation was ongoing.

May 13

  • A gas station attendant at , 1402 S. Hanley Rd., reported being robbed by a man who indicated he had a gun. An investigation was ongoing.
  • A 25-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of destruction of property and disorderly conduct at , 1300 Big Bend Blvd. Police had been investigating an incident in which a car hit the fencing around the building. Police said the driver became disorderly during the course of the investigation.
  • A bicycle was stolen near the entrance of the Berkshire subdivision. An investigation was ongoing.
  • A 19-year-old female was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at , 2055 . She received a summons and was released to another agency that had been seeking her arrest.
  • A 20-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of stealing several items from , 1491 Saint Louis Galleria, and then running from management. He was found in a car in the parking lot and arrested, and police said they later found narcotics in the car. He was being held pending a review of the case by the city's prosecutor.
  • An employee at , 6420 Clayton Rd., filed a complaint of telephone harassment with police stating her ex-boyfriend had called her numerous times during her shift. The city's prosecutor was expected to review the complaint.

  • A 41-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting , 1105 Saint Louis Galleria. Police also arrested him on suspicion of trespassing after discovering that he had been banned from the mall in connection with a previous arrest. He was being held pending a review by the city's prosecutor.
  • A 22-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Lids, 2138 Saint Louis Galleria.

May 15

  • A victim reported being assaulted by a 53-year-old male neighborhood in connection with rumors that the victim started. It happened in the 1600 block of Yale Avenue. Police arrested the suspect, who was being held pending a review of the case by the city's prosecutor.
  • A house break-in was reported in the 7300 block of La Veta Avenue. The victim told police that several items had been stolen after the break-in, which happened at a rear door. An investigation was ongoing.

  • A 35-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Dillard's. He received a summons and was released to another agency that had been seeking his arrest.
  • Two females, ages 15 and 16, were arrested on suspicion of shoplifting , 1550 Saint Louis Galleria. They were released to their parents.

May 17

  • Police arrested a man who appeared to be intoxicated , 8011 Galleria Pkwy. They had been working with paramedics to help his girlfriend, who became sick after becoming intoxicated. Police said the man had been continually interfering. He received a summons and was released.
