Richmond Heights Police: Baby Mama Drama at The Galleria

Richmond Heights Police dealt with several thefts at the Galleria and other crime between March 1-8.

The following information was supplied by the Richmond Heights Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, March 1

  • Victim reported that his vehicle was broken into while it was parked on the Applebee’s lot as they ate lunch. Over $3,000 in electronics were taken.
  • Officers responded to Schnucks where security had detained a subject for stealing $208.76 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and later released on a muni court summons.

Saturday, March 2

  • Victim reported leaving his jacket unattended in the men’s locker room at The Heights. When he returned $200 was missing from his wallet.
  • Officers responded to the parking garage of the Galleria where two pregnant women were fighting and being separated by the sole father of both unborn children. Both women were arrested and later released on municipal court summonses.

Sunday, March 3

  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security had detained a Macy’s employee who had made several discounted transactions for friends totaling $188.80. The employee was arrested and later released on a muni court summons.

Monday, March 4

  • An officer observed a vehicle violate an electric signal at Big Bend and Dale. The subsequent traffic stop investigation revealed the driver to have a suspended license. A consent search of the vehicle located suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia. The driver was arrested and held pending a municipal warrant application.

Tuesday, March 5

  • The victim, a LPN and employee of SLUCare left her coin purse containing her wedding ring on her office desk. She returned five minutes later discovering the purse and its contents missing.
  • Victim reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse while at the Bread Co. Her credit card was subsequently used fraudulently at the Brentwood Target store
  • A subject was detained by Galleria security for having a bag that was lined with foil, a common security sensor inhibitor. The subject was arrested and later released on a municipal court summons.
  • A nurse at SSM St. Mary's reported that she was assaulted by a mental health patient. The subject was left in the custody of the hospital.

Wednesday, March 6

  • Officers responded to Dillard’s where security detained a subject for stealing $507 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and later released pending a state warrant application.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security detained a subject for stealing $249.81 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and later released on a municipal court summons.
  • Galleria security attempted to detain a known trespasser who fled the scene. As the trespasser’s identity was established a report was forwarded for a municipal warrant application.

Thursday, March 7

  • While conducting a traffic accident investigation an officer arrested one of the drivers for possession of marijuana and driving while suspended. The driver was later released on municipal court summonses.

Friday, March 8

  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security detained two subjects for stealing $78.50 in merchandise. Both subjects were arrested, one released on a summons, the other held for a municipal warrant application.
  • Victim stated that person(s) unknown broke into her vehicle while it was parked on the outside surface parking lot at the south end of the Boulevard. Items taken include a laptop computer and GPS device.
