Richmond Heights Police: Assault, Employee Theft

Richmond Heights Police dealt with several thefts at the Galleria and other crime between Feb. 6-12 2013.

The following information was supplied by the Richmond Height Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Feb. 6

  • Saint Louis Galleria security identified and detained a juvenile subject that was a known trespasser. The juvenile was arrested and later conveyed to the County juvenile detention center.

Thursday, Feb. 7

  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security had detained two juveniles for stealing $154.50 in clothing merchandise. The juveniles were arrested and later released to their parents.

Saturday, Feb. 9

  • Officers responded to H&M where security had detained a subject for stealing $171.30 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and held pending a municipal warrant application.
  • Officers responded to the Galleria for a report of a stolen mobile phone. The investigation revealed the location of the subject, who was still in the mall. The subject was arrested and later released on a municipal court summons.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security had detained two subjects for stealing $104.63 in clothing merchandise. Both subjects were arrested and later released on municipal court summonses.

Sunday, Feb. 10

  • Officers responded to H&M where security had detained a juvenile for stealing $102.50 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and transported to the County juvenile detention center.

Monday, Feb. 11

  • The Buckle store manager reported the theft of over $14,000 in cash from the store’s safe. A recently demoted employee was arrested and an ongoing investigation is underway to identify a possible co-conspirator.
  • A resident of the 1600 block of Del Norte returned from vacation to discover the dining room window to house had been broken out and the window to a bedroom damaged.

Tuesday, Feb. 12

  • A cab driver reported that his fair assaulted him while in transit. The suspect was arrested on scene at I-64 and Belleview. Police report the suspect was intoxicated. The subject was held for municipal warrant application.
