Richmond Heights National Night Out is September 18, 2012

Block parties throughout the city will honor the collaboration between residents and police that keeps neighborhoods safe.

Neighborhoods throughout Richmond Heights will host block parties Sept. 18 in honor of National Night Out, an announcement posted to the police department's website states. The event spotlights the ways residents and police can work together to keep cities safe.

The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Residents interested in holding a party are asked to contact their respective block captains.

RSVPs for specific blocks may be made by contacting. Officer David Rabbitt of the . He may be reached by phone at 314-655-3632 or by email at drabbitt@richmondheights.org.

Hot dogs, buns, soda, water and ice will be provided by the . City officials and representatives from the city's police and fire departments plan to attend as many of the parties as possible.
