RH Police: DWI, Stolen Motorcycle

Richmond Heights Police dealt with thefts at the Galleria and other crime.

The following information was supplied by the Richmond Heights Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, May 11

  • Victim in the 1200 block of Hawthorne reported a boy’s bicycle stolen from the common basement area of the apartment complex.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security detained a subject for stealing $148 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and later released on a summons.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security detained a subject for stealing $258 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and later released on a summons.
  • Victim reported that person(s) unknown stole his motorcycle while it was parked in a residential driveway in the 7200 block of Delta. 
Sunday, May 12

  • An officer observed a vehicle stopped in traffic on a highway exit ramp at Interstate 64 and Big Bend. Investigation found the driver to be asleep with the engine running and in gear. The subject was arrested on suspicion of DWI and later released on a summons.
  • Officers responded to Urban Outfitter’s where security detained a subject for stealing $52 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and later released on a summons.
Monday, May 13

  • Officers responded to assist security at the Galleria a subject who had attempted to shoplift from the H and M store. The subject fled through the mall causing a disturbance. The subject was arrested and later released on a summons.
Tuesday, May 14

  • Officers responded to the Cheesecake Factory where management presented a five dollar bill that appeared to be counterfeit. The bill was seized and this report was forwarded to the US Secret Service for further investigation.
  • Victim reported that a fraudulent “BILLMELATER” account was created in his name and funds were withdrawn from his personal “PayPal” account to fund transactions in the fraudulent account.
