RH Police: St. Mary's Detox Nurse Discovers Heroin on Patient

Wednesday, June 26

  • Victim stated that she discovered an additional fraudulent transaction on her stolen debit card at the Raising Cane’s restaurant. The theft of her debit card was previously reported to this department.
  • Officers responded to Love Culture where security detained a subject for stealing $9.70 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and held pending a municipal warrant application.
  • Two subjects entered the Sprint store and stole a cell phone case and phone charger. The subjects entered into a waiting vehicle that displayed MO temp tags and made their escape.
Friday, June 28
  • Victim reported that personal medication was stolen from his vehicle while he shopped at the Schnuck’s store. The victim stated that he left his vehicle unlocked.
  • Victim reported that she parked her vehicle on the rear lot at Schnuck's and returned a few minutes later to discover the passenger side window shattered. The victim stated that nothing was missing from the vehicle.
  • The victims reported that two subjects approached them at the Saint Louis Galleria and ended up stealing $260 cash in a confidence scam.
Saturday, June 29
  • Officers responded to a residence in the 7100 block of Glades for a disturbance call. Investigation led to the arrest of one of the residents who was later released on a summons.
  • The bank manager at US Bank reported a subject tried to cash a forged check. The transaction was not allowed but the suspect made his escape prior to the arrival of police. Investigation is ongoing.
  • Victim reported that while she was walking on the Galleria lot a vehicle approached her. The victim stated that she observed the male driver of the vehicle masturbating. Investigation led to the identity of the driver who was later arrested and held on a municipal warrant application.
  • Victim stated that person(s) unknown dented her vehicle while it was parked on the street overnight. A large rock was found near her vehicle.
  • Officers responded to the H & M store where security detained a subject that was previously banned from the store. The subject was arrested and later released on a summons.
  • Officers responded to St. Mary’s hospital as nurses reported a subject in possession of heroin. Investigation revealed that the boyfriend of a detox patient brought her heroin to ingest but was interrupted by hospital staff. The suspect made his escape but was identified and is being sought in this matter.
  • Officers responded to the area for a subject walking on Interstate 64/40 at Bellevue. Investigation found the subject to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The subject was arrested and later released on a summons.
Sunday, June 30
  • Officers responded to St. Mary’s hospital where a nurse on the psychiatric floor reported that a patient punched him in the left eye. The subject was not arrested as he was in the care of the hospital. A warrant application was forwarded to the municipal prosecutor.
