RH Police: Person Caught Stealing from Church Collection Box

The following information was supplied by the Richmond Heights Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Sept. 11

  • A witness observed a subject steal money from the collection box at Immacolata Church and leave the scene. Responding officers located and arrested the subject, and recovered the stolen money.
  • Victim/girl scout organizer reported that her landlord and/or her landlord’s son stole her girl scout account checks and made unauthorized withdrawals at the US Bank located in Schnucks.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security detained a subject for stealing $138.49 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and later released on a summons.
Thursday, Sept. 12
  • Victim reported that person(s) unknown broke the rear window of her vehicle while it was parked at The Heights. Nothing was reported as missing. 
Friday, Sept. 13
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security detained three juveniles for stealing $42 in merchandise. The juveniles were arrested and later released to a guardian.
