RH Police: Man Leaves Dog Feces on Neighbor's Sofa

Richmond Heights Police dealt with thefts at the Galleria and other crime.

Sunday, May 26

  • A 20 year old female and a 15 year old juvenile were arrested for shoplifting at Macy's. The adult was issued a municipal court summons and the juvenile released to a guardian.
Monday, May 27
  • A 31 year old tenant of the apartment complex in the 1300 block of Hawthorne was taken into custody for unlawfully entering his neighbor’s apartment and leaving two bags of dog feces on the sofa. Nothing was reported missing from the reporting party’s apartment.
  • Two teenage males and a juvenile male assaulted a pedestrian as he walked on the Galleria Parkway stealing his cell phone and wristwatch. All three suspects were captured by Clayton Police and the victim’s property recovered. State warrants for second degree robbery were issued against the two adult male suspects, with bond set at $40,000 each, while the juvenile was referred to Family Court.
  • A 66 year old male was taken into custody after officers determined he assaulted his roommate in the 1000 block of Claytonia. Municipal warrants to be applied for.
Tuesday, May 28
  • Victim reported his vehicle broken into at the Esquire Theater and his Garmin GPS stolen from the console. Victim delayed making the report for 24 hours.
  • A 30 year old male was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after officers found him slumped at the wheel of his automobile while stopped in the traffic lane of Clayton Road at Bellevue Avenue. The driver smelled of alcohol, failed field sobriety exams, and refused to submit to a chemical breath test. He was booked and released with multiple municipal court summonses.
  • Someone forced open the front door of the residence in the 7100 block of Wise Ave. stealing a flat screen television. The homeowner was out of town at the time.
Wednesday, May 29
  • A 47 year old male was arrested for shoplifting at Macy's. He was booked and held for municipal warrant application.
  • A Purple Martin birdhouse was stolen from the victim’s front yard overnight in the 7100 block of Wise Ave. There are no suspects.
  • An 18 year old female was arrested for shoplifting at Dillard's. She was booked and issued a municipal court summons.
  • The victim’s computer bag with laptop was stolen when left unattended in the library at The Heights. Also in the laptop bag was the victim’s wallet with credit cards and keys. All of the victim’s property was returned to him the following day after he was contacted by a well-known police character who told him she found the property. The matter is being investigated.
  • Victim reported someone broke into his vehicle at The Heights and stole electronics along with his wallet with credit cards. The incident was captured on CCTV video and is being investigated.
  • Victim reported damage to the driver’s door handle of her vehicle while it was parked in a parking structure at SSM St. Mary's Hospital. There are no suspects.
