RH Police: Man Grabs Phone From Woman at Macy's

The Richmond Heights Police reported the following crimes.

Thursday, July 4

  • A traffic stop investigation in the 1400 block of Hanley led to the arrest of the driver for outstanding warrants, possession of marijuana and unlawful use of a weapon. The driver was released on his active warrants pending a state warrant application.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security detained a subject for stealing $125 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and held pending a municipal  warrant application.
  • Victim reported that while she was using the internet function on her mobile phone at Macy's, a subject approached her, took the phone from her and ran from the store making his escape.
Friday, July 5
  • The owner of a multi-unit apartment complex at 7323 Hoover reported that two A/C units were stolen.
  • Officers responded to Urban Outfitters where security detained a subject for creating a disturbance by running from security. The subject was arrested and held pending a municipal warrant application.
