RH Police: Forgery, Leaving the Scene of a Crash

Richmond Heights Police dealt with thefts at the Galleria and other crime.

Wednesday, May 1

  • The victim at Midwest Medical Evaluations reported that a client passed a check that was returned due to insufficient funds. Investigation in ongoing.

Thursday, May 2

  • Victim stated that person(s) unknown entered his unlocked vehicle in the 6300 block of Clayton and stole a bag that contained his prescription medication.
  • Store manager at True Religion reported that a subject attempted to purchase an item with a counterfeit $50 bill. The subject left the scene without the merchandise, leaving the bill behind. The U.S. Secret Service is investigating further.

Saturday, May 4

  • Officers responded to a vehicle accident on I-64 at Brentwood with several lanes blocked. Officers discovered that the driver of the responsible vehicle fled the scene on foot. The subject was identified and later arrested in another jurisdiction. The subject was conveyed to RHPD where he was later released on a summons.
  • A male subject entered Nordstrom and stole two purses, making good his escape by running to the parking lot and into a waiting car.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security detained two juveniles for stealing $183 in merchandise. The juveniles were arrested and later transported to the St. Louis County Juvenile Detention Center.

Sunday, May 5

  • Officers responded to Sephora where security detained a subject for stealing $316 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and held pending a municipal warrant application.

Monday, May 6

  • Officers responded to the Galleria police office where mall security had escorted a detained subject. That subject was determined to have been banned from Galleria property. The subject was arrested for trespassing and held for a municipal warrant application.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security had detained a subject for stealing $45 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and later released on a summons.
