RH Police: Customer Makes Off With Ring from Jewelry Store

Richmond Heights Police dealt with thefts at the Galleria and other crime.

Wednesday, April 17

  • Officers responded to Dillard's where security was detaining a subject for stealing $39.50 in merchandise. A search incident to arrest located a small handgun (revolver). The subject was held pending a state warrant application.

  • A customer of Kay Jewelers was allowed to personally hold a ring from the display case. The subject then ran from the store with the ring valued at $5,500. An investigation is ongoing.

Friday, April 19

  • A resident reported that his debit card was compromised and used to make purchases in Vancouver.

  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security was detaining a juvenile for stealing $96 in merchandise. The juvenile was arrested and later released to a parent.
