RH Police: Counterfeit Bills Reported at Great Clips

The following information was supplied by the Richmond Heights Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, April 10

• Victim stated that person(s) unknown broke into his vehicle at The Boulevard garage and stole his briefcase. The briefcase contained a laptop computer and personal checks.
• Store manager at Great Clips stated that her business had received several counterfeit $1 and $5 bills over the course of the past week. United States Secret Service took over the investigation.

Thursday, April 11

• Officers responded to Apple Store where a subject stole a display laptop computer and made good his escape.
• Officers responded to Macy’s where two juveniles were detained by security for stealing $35.98 in merchandise. The juveniles were arrested and later released to their respective parents.

Friday, April 12

• A Panera employee stole a customer’s iPod and then took it to an automated electronics resale kiosk at the Saint Louis Galleria and sold it for cash. The employee was arrested and later released on a summons. The arresting officer is working with the owners of the kiosk to retrieve the iPod.
• Officers responded to the Galleria where security had detained a previously banned subject. The subject was arrested and held pending a municipal warrant application.
