Psychiatric Patient Bites Nurse at St. Mary's

Thursday, July 18

  • Victim stated that person(s) unknown entered his vehicle in the 1200 block of Sunset. The vehicle’s ignition system was tampered with in a manner suggesting attempted theft.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security detained two subjects for stealing $208.50 in merchandise. The subjects were arrested and held pending a municipal warrant application.
Friday, July 19
  • Officers responded to the second level of the Galleria parking garage where security had witnessed and chased away a subject tampering with an auto. The vehicle that was tampered had damage to its driver’s door lock.
  • Officers responded to the Galleria lot to assist security in searching for two subjects tampering with autos. While doing so one vehicle was discovered with a damaged door lock. This incident appears to be unrelated to the previous incident.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security detained a subject for stealing $136.48 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and released on a summons.
Saturday, July 20
  • Victim reported that person(s) unknown “keyed” his vehicle while it was parked on the lot of the Galleria.
Sunday, July 21
  • Officers responded to the SSM St. Mary’s ER where a patient being admitted for psychiatric care bit a nurse. The subject was admitted to the hospital and a warrant application was forwarded to the municipal court.
