Police: Clayton Bank Robberies Might Be Linked

It's possible that the person suspected of robbing Commerce Bank is the same person suspected of a similar incident at Truman Bank, Community Services Officer Korey Golcynski said.

Suspect descriptions in two November bank robberies "pretty much" match, indicating the same person may have committed both crimes, an official with the said Friday.

Matching characteristics include gender, age, height and weight, Community Services Officer Korey Golcynski said.

The suspect in the incidents— on Thursday and at Truman Bank earlier in the month—was described as a 6-foot-2 white male in his late 20s to mid-30s who weighs approximately 180 pounds.

Neither case involved the display of a weapon.

The suspect has not been linked to other robberies or attempted robberies at this time, Golcynski said.
