UPDATE: Robbery Reported at Commerce Bank in Richmond Heights

The incident happened Thursday.

The man suspected of robbing Commerce Bank on Thursday in Richmond Heights showed a handgun to a teller before taking an undisclosed amount of money, the FBI reported on the website bandittrackerstlouis.com. No one was injured.

It happened just before 2:30 p.m. at 7910 Clayton Rd. The suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall black male who is approximately 35 years old and weighs roughly 180 pounds. He wore a baseball cap, glasses, a plain white T-shirt, knee-length shorts and white tennis shoes.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for people who provide information leading to a felony arrest. Those with information about the case may call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-8477.

Capt. Doug Schaeffler of the confirmed the robbery Thursday but directed all additional questions to the FBI in St. Louis. An FBI official could not immediately be reached for comment.
