Police: Pulaski Bank Robbed, Suspect Arrested

The incident happened Tuesday, Richmond Heights police said.

A suspect has been charged with second-degree robbery in connection with an incident that happened Tuesday at in Richmond Heights.

Jerry Danny Wilder Jr. of O'Fallon, MO, is suspected of taking more than $3,000 from the bank after entering the building and showing a teller a note that demanded money, the reported.

He fled the scene in a blue Ford F150 and was arrested at the intersection of Concordia Lane and San Bonita Avenue. Police said he had been trying to change the truck's license plates.

The cash and hold-up note have been recovered.

This is not Wilder's first criminal charge. In 1993, he pleaded guilty to forgery in connection with an arrest by the Ellisville Police Department, the website Missouri Case.net states. In December 2003, he pleaded guilty to multiple counts of second-degree burglary and stealing less than $500 in property or services in connection with an arrest by the Crestwood Police Department.

He is being held on a $100,000 bond. A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Sept. 20 in Division 38 of St. Louis County Circuit Court before Judge Lawrence Permuter.
