Police: Man with Schizophrenia Suspected of Assault on Nurse

The nurse had a broken nose, the Richmond Heights Police Department reported.

A man with schizophrenia is wanted on suspicion of second-degree assault after an incident in the 1000 block of Bellevue Avenue, the Richmond Heights Police Department reported.

It happened Sept. 13 at the SSM St. Mary's Health Center campus. 

Police said the man, a patient, broke his nurse's nose during a sudden, unprovoked attack. The man was held and sedated.

An arrest was expected at a later date because of the nurse's condition after the assault, police said.
