Police: Man, 70, Snaps Theater Photos and Defies Order to Leave

Wednesday, Jan. 18
A 19-year-old man was arrested near a MetroLink station on suspicion of fraud in connection with an incident that happened at , 2122 . Police said he tried to return items he bought with a stolen credit card. Employees called police after he ran from the store.

Daytime burglaries occurred at two houses in the 7200 block of Clayton Road. An investigation was ongoing.

A perpetrator burglarized and damaged a home in the Berkshire Subdivision during the day. An investigation was ongoing.

Two men, ages 14 and 15, were arrested near a MetroLink station on suspicion of stealing from , 1550 Saint Louis Galleria. One was released to a parent. The other was turned over to juvenile officials because his mother could not pick him up. 

Thursday, Jan. 19
A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at , 6600 Clayton Rd. He was being held so the city's prosecutor could review the case.

Clothing, jewelry and electronics were stolen in two car break-ins at the Galleria parking lot. Their driver's door handle had been punched out.

Friday, Jan. 20
A cellphone was stolen at a private home in the 1400 block of Woodland Drive. The victim told police an acquaintance stole it after an argument. Police were looking for the suspect.

A 17-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and a probation violation in connection with an incident at , 2055 Saint Louis Galleria. She had been on probation with a Richmond Heights court because of a stealing charge. She was being held so the city's prosecutor could review the case.

Saturday, Jan. 21
A dog bit a restaurant delivery person when he tried to deliver food to the pet owner's home in the 7000 block of Mitchell Avenue. No medical attention was requested.

Sunday, Jan. 22
A 70-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of failure to comply with a police order to leave AMC Esquire 7, 6706 Clayton Rd. Management told him to leave after they discovered he had been taking pictures in the movie theater, police said. He refused their request. When police arrived, he again refused to leave and was arrested. He received a summons before being released.

Monday, Jan. 23
A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Macy's. He received a summons before being released.
