UPDATE: Hit-and-Run Suspect Charged, Clayton Police Say

The two pedestrians hit by a car received treatment and have been released from Barnes Jewish Hospital, a news release states.

A University City man has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident after a hit-and-run that injured two people in , police stated.

Tom J. Aloor, 40, is being held on $15,000 bond, a news release issued late Wednesday afternoon by the states. He is charged with one count of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, a Class D felony. Additional charges are possible pending analysis of evidence by the St. Louis County Crime Laboratory.

The accident happened at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday when a vehicle traveling south in the 10 block of Clayton's North Central Avenue hit two pedestrians and then left the scene, the release states.

A 43-year-old man and a 31-year-old female received the injuries. They received treatment at Barnes Jewish Hospital and have been released.
