UPDATE: Clayton Bank Robbery Reported; Suspect Identified

It happened Thursday at Commerce Bank, 6383 Clayton Rd., police said.

The perpetrator in Thursday's robbery of a Commerce Bank in took an undisclosed amount of money after displaying a demand note, the website BanditTracker St. Louis reported.

It happened at about 3:45 p.m. at 6383 Clayton Rd. The perpetrator gave the note to the teller. He did not show a weapon.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot-2 white man weighing approximately 180 pounds, the website states. He appears to be in his late 20s to mid-30s and has acne scars on his face. He also had a scraggly beard and mustache, and he wore a blue baseball cap, a red hooded sweatshirt and white tennis shoes.

Officials with the were working the scene Thursday afternoon, Sgt. Doug Schaeffler of the stated in an email.

He directed further inquiries about the incident to Clayton police.

A Clayton police representative could not immediately be reached for comment.
