Police: Assault Near Dale Apartment Prompts Arrest and More

The Richmond Heights Police Department reported the following incidents on its website.


Friday, Aug. 10
A victim reporter that three personal checks were forged at Tip Top Cleaners, 6360 Clayton Rd., between April 11 and June 12. The suspect in the case is an ex-boyfriend.

Monday, Aug. 13
A front passenger window was broken out of a company vehicle of The Maids Home Services. It happened in the 7400 block of Arlington Drive.

A drill was reported taken overnight July 2 from a backyard in the Lake Forest subdivision. The device belongs to a contractor who was doing work on the home.

A man was arrested after police said he tried to cash a check he fraudulently obtained through TitleMax in St. Louis city. It happened at U.S. Bank, 6600 Clayton Rd. 

Tuesday, Aug. 14
A perpetrator stole a pair of tennis shoes from Jimmy Jazz at the before fleeing in a silver vehicle. An employee got license-plate information.

A customer didn't pay for a haircut and coloring valued at $127 from Regis Hair Salon in the Galleria. The identity of the customer is known, and police were seeking her.

Wednesday, Aug. 15
A person was arrested on suspicion of stealing and property damage in connection with an incident involving a vehicle at the Galleria parking lot. Police said they found DNA evidence linking him to the crime in the victim's vehicle.

A laptop was stolen from a victim who had been sitting outside in the Galleria.

Thursday, Aug. 16
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stealing at in the Galleria. He was being held while police applied for a warrant.

A man is suspected of having stolen money during , 7910 Clayton Rd. He showed a handgun to the teller and fled on foot after receiving the money, police said. He could not be found.

Three women were arrested on suspicion of conspiring to steal an employee's purse from a private office at , 6420 Clayton Rd. Police planned to seek warrants.

A person was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a woman as she left her apartment building in the 7300 block of Dale Avenue. The woman did not know the perpetrator. The suspect was arrested shortly after the report and held for a warrant application.

Saturday, Aug. 18
An intoxicated 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct after he refused to leave the Galleria and became argumentative with with patrons waiting to attend a promotional shoe event. He was released while police applied for a warrant.

Monday, Aug. 20
A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stealing brass fittings on the fire hoses used by the Galleria. Police planned to seek warrants.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stealing a cellphone from the T-Mobile kiosk at the Galleria. He received a summons before being released.

Tuesday, Aug. 21
A victim in the 7400 block of Bruno Avenue reported that someone used her debit-card information fraudulently to make several purchases in Michigan.
