Richmond Heights Police dealt with thefts at the Galleria and other crime.

Monday, May 20

  • Officers responded to Sephora where security had detained a subject for stealing $62 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and held pending a municipal warrant application.
  • Officers responded to Sephora where security had detained a subject for stealing $241 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and held pending a municipal warrant application.
Tuesday, May 21
  • Victim stated that person(s) unknown entered her vehicle over a week ago while it was parked on the Galleria lot. A camera lens was taken.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security had detained a subject for stealing $244.50 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and held pending a municipal warrant application.
Wednesday, May 22
  • A known shoplifter was detained by Galleria security and found to be in possession of a foil lined bag (booster bag) used to defeat security sensors. The subject was arrested and held pending a muni warrant application.
  • An officer patrolling the lot of Schnucks observed a subject selecting plants from an outside display and placing them onto a shopping cart. The subject then pushed the cart to his truck parked in the store lot and loaded the plants into his truck. The subject was arrested and later released on a summons.
Thursday, May 23
  • Victim recovered two abandoned bicycles on her property in the 7300 block of LaVeta. Neither serial number for the bikes were reported stolen.
  • Victim stated that person(s) unknown shattered the windshield and driver’s side window of her vehicle as it was parked on the street in front of her house in the 7700 block of Snowden overnight. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.
  • Applebee’s manager reported that a party of four subjects left $12 on a $39 bill and left the area.
