Man Faces Robbery, Two Stolen Car Charges in Richmond Heights

Police said the Maplewood man took keys and stole man's car near SSM St. Mary's Health Center in August and stole another car last May.

A Maplewood man faces criminal charges after Richmond Heights Police said he took keys from a man near SSM St. Mary’s Health Center and stole his car. He also is accused of stealing another car in Richmond Heights in May.

Jarvis McAlister, 21, of the 7700 block of Rannells Ave in Maplewood, was charged Tuesday with second-degree robbery and two counts of stealing a car.

Richmond Heights Police said that McAlister took keys from a man about 12:10 a.m. Aug. 12 at 1115 Bellevue Ave., near SSM St. Mary’s. He then stole the man’s 2012 Chevrolet Impala, according to the police report.

Police said McAlister also stole a 2012 Ford Fiesta between 11:30 p.m. May 3 and 10:15 a.m. May 4 in the 2100 block of Bellevue Avenue.

McAlister is being held in St. Louis County jail in lieu of a $35,000 bond.
