Police Spot Man Concealing Gun in Pocket

Clayton Police said they found Christopher Jones with a handgun in his pocket when they responded to a disturbance in the 300 block of South Hanley Road.

An Overland man is accused of illegally concealing a weapon near a home in the 300 block of South Hanley Road in Clayton.

Christopher Jones, 29, of the 10200 block of Canter Way in Overland, was charged Feb. 21 with unlawful use of a weapon.

Clayton Police reported that officers responding to a disturbance April 20, 2011 in the 300 block of South Hanley Road found Jones with his hands in his pockets and a bulge in his left pocket. When they searched him, they found a loaded handgun, a 9 mm Ruger, in his pocket.

Bail has been set at $10,000 for Jones.

What was he charged with? Was he a burglar or was he just taking a walk thru Clayton? Why are you showing a photo of a Ruger .22 if he was caught with a Ruger 9mm? Did he have a CCW, and if not, is he being charged with illegally carrying a concealed weapon? These are the questions that the public wants to know the answers to. In this current climate when all the liberals are against guns then stories about them should be reported thoroughly. If the guy was carrying illegally then he should do hard time and then people who shouldn't be in possession of a fire arm would know that carrying isn't healthy.
