Wednesday, July 4
Three people are suspected of trying to steal more than $4,000 in clothing from at the . A fourth person is suspected of having accompanied them. After taking the clothing, they ran to a vehicle parked outside of Several people visiting the mall intervened and recovered some of the clothing. They chased the perpetrators but stopped when one of them sprayed the area with pepper spray.

Friday, July 6
A Garmin GPS was stolen from a vehicle parked in the garage at , 6420 Clayton Rd. The vehicle belongs to a hospital employee who works nights. There were no signs of forced entry.

A woman filed a complaint against the father of her child after she told police he hit her in the face at SSM St. Mary's. The father was in the custody of hospital security when police arrived. She initially declined to prosecute and the father was told to leave the facility. She later called police and filled out a complaint form. The city's prosecutor was expected to review the case.

Saturday, July 7
A man reported that he was robbed Saturday morning in the Galleria parking lot while walking to his car with a bag containing newly purchased Air Jordan tennis shoes. The victim told police that a black two-door vehicle with four people inside drove by. The passenger seated next to the driver got out and began talking about the recent release of the Air Jordans. The passenger then hit the victim in the side of the head, which caused the victim to drop the bag with the shoes. The perpetrator picked up the bag and ran back to the vehicle. The victim declined medical treatment.

Sunday, July 8
An aspiring 21-year-old rapper was arrested on suspicion of trying to steal jeans from at the Galleria. He told police he needed the clothing for a performance that night. He was being held while police applied for a warrant, and he also was being held as a fugitive wanted by several other law enforcement agencies.

A 28-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct in the 1400 block of Hawthorne Place after police said she created a disturbance and refused to leave a house. She was being held while police applied for a warrant.

Monday, July 9
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stealing at Macy's at the Galleria. He received a summons before being released.

A perpetrator fraudulently used a Macy's credit card to purchase nearly $290 of merchandise, the card's owner told police. The owner had opened the account to buy $60 in items and received the unexpectedly large bill a month later.

A perpetrator fraudulently used credit cards at Target and Whole Foods, the cards' owner told police. It happened after the victim's wallet was stolen from her purse at , 2 The Boulevard.
