LETTER: Clayton Police and Schools Planning for Westboro Protest

Dear Greyhound Families,

As many of you may have already heard, members of the Westboro Baptist Church have informed both the and the of their plans to protest at Clayton High School before school on Monday, Feb. 6. 

The messages we received state that they are protesting the school's support of all of our students, with a particular focus on our . WBC is known for their provocative, hate-filled protests throughout the country, especially for protesting at the funerals of fallen servicemen.

We have already started meeting with the Clayton Police and District leadership to plan for this event. Next week, we will be working with our teachers and students to craft a positive, peaceful and appropriate response.
