Lawsuit Filed Against Defendant Suspected of Molesting Girl at Clayton Hotel

The filing happened Tuesday in St. Louis.

A lawsuit has been filed against the man suspected of molesting a 9-year-old girl at a Clayton hotel, electronic court records state.

The suit was filed Tuesday in the , according to the website Missouri Case.net.

It stems from a March 6 incident. In that case, the defendant, Daniel T.Hughes, at and molesting the girl. Earlier Wednesday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported additional details about the suit.

Clayton-Richmond Heights Patch visited the county courthouse, where an employee said that the records had been sealed and would only be made available to parties in the case.

Electronic court records identify the minor plaintiff only as Jane Doe. Other plaintiffs are identified as John Doe and Jean Doe. Judge Maura McShane has ordered the legal names and identifying information of the plaintiffs sealed.

The civil suit names Hughes, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company of Delaware, Maritz Wolff & Co., and Enterprise Leasing Company as defendants. Summonses in the case were issued Wednesday.

Hughes is an Enterprise Rent-A-Car employee from Pennsylvania.

St. Louis attorney Maurice Graham is representing the plaintiffs. A voice mail seeking comment from Graham was not immediately returned.
