Sprinklers Extinguish Small Blaze at The Cheshire

The weekly Richmond Heights fire blotter compiles reports from Jan. 2 through Jan. 8.

Sprinklers installed during recent renovations put out a small fire Saturday in a laundry area at hotel, Chief Kerry Hogan of the said.

A bin containing dirty mop heads and rags apparently caught fire* in a laundry room located in the lower level of the hotel's parking structure, Hogan said.

The call came in shortly after 6:20 a.m. The fire caused very little damage.
