FBI: Clayton Bank Robbery Suspect Tied to Additional Crimes

The man is suspected of having robbed a Commerce Bank and a Truman Bank in Clayton.

The man has been linked to two additional robberies in other cities, the FBI announced Tuesday in a news release.

The four crimes happened over a three-month period:

  • Dec. 1: Commerce Bank in Clayton
  • Nov. 21: U.S. Bank in Des Peres
  • Nov. 15: Truman Bank in Clayton
  • Sept. 6: U.S. Bank in Kirkwood

In all cases, the perpetrator generally has been described as a white male between the age of 30 and 40 who is at least 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds, the release states. He has been dubbed the Logo Bandit because of the brand-name logo that appeared on his clothing or a baseball cap he wore during the crimes.

The perpetrator also demanded money using a note and did not display a weapon in each case.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to a felony arrest. Those with information about the crimes are asked to call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-8477.
