Aug. 6

  • A burglary was reported in the 900 block of South Bemiston Avenue. The perpetrator gained access through a kitchen window.


Aug. 7

  • A vehicle hit and damaged a Clayton-owned light post in the 6300 block of Forsyth Boulevard. The city's public works department worked to secure the light post.

  • An overnight vehicle break-in was reported in the 6300 block of North Rosebury Avenue.
  • A vehicle was reported to have been damaged overnight in the 6300 block of Southwood Avenue.


Aug. 9

  • An unsecured bicycle parked in plain view inside a garage was stolen at night on Arundel Place near DeMun Avenue.
  • Three overnight vehicle break-ins were reported in the 6300 block of North Rosebury Aveue.
  • at apparently happened during the late afternoon or early evening, police said.
