Clayton Police Blotter: Money and Jewelry Stolen in Burglaries

The Clayton Police Department reported the following incidents on its website.

  • An attempted burglary was reported in the 300 block of North Bemiston Avenue after the screen on a kitchen window was found broken free from its frame. The perpetrator did not enter.

Oct. 13

  • Jewelry and money was reported missing after a burglary in the 100 block of North Brentwood Boulevard. The perpetrator entered the building through an unlocked window.
  • Jewelry was reported missing after a burglary in the 8100 block of Westmoreland Avenue. The perpetrator forced entry through a sliding screen door at the back of the building.

  • Nothing was reported missing after a burglary in the 6300 block of North Rosebury Avenue. The perpetrator forced entry through the main entrance door.

Oct. 19

  • A cellphone was reported stolen from a business in the 10 block of Gay Avenue. The cellphone had been placed in a bag and left unattended in plain view.
  • Money was reported missing after a burglary in the 300 block of Gay Avenue. The perpetrator gained entry to the building using a side door.
