Clayton Police Blotter: Davis Place Fraud Calls Reported

The Clayton Police Department reported the following incidents on its website.

  • A victim reported an incident of fraud in Davis Place. The perpetrator told the victim in a phone call that their grandchild had been arrested in a foreign country and needed money in order to be released. Police advised Clayton residents to take care if an unfamiliar person calls and asks that they send money.


Aug. 25

  • Another incident of fraud resembling the one that happened Aug. 21 was reported in Davis Place.

  • Loose change was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 6400 block of Cecil Avenue.

 

Aug. 29

  • A laptop, briefcase and sunglasses were reported missing following three vehicle break-ins in the 7700 block of Carondelet Avenue.
  • Nothing was reported missing after a burglary in the 800 block of South Hanley Road. Forced entry happened through a rear window.
