Clayton Office Monitors Joplin Tornado Recovery Efforts
The University of Missouri Extension of St. Louis County provides disaster-preparedness information and works with the State Emergency Management Agency.
The , based in Clayton, is monitoring the recovery effort underway in Joplin, MO, following a devastating tornado on Sunday.
"MU Extension provides resources to the media and others and will make our expertise and education available as communities, businesses, families and farms work on recovery," Roxanne Miller, civic communications specialist for the extension office in Clayton, stated in an email. "We are part of the Governor’s Disaster Recovery Partnership and work with (the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency) and other organizations to assist in facilitation when needed and to coordinate."
