Clayton Home-Invasion Suspect is Arraigned

Gabriel Williams remains in jail after the Dec. 31 incident, KSDK Channel 5 reported.

A St. Louis County man has been arraigned in connection with a Clayton home invasion in late December, KSDK Channel 5 reported.

Quoting from the KSDK article:

"Gabriel Williams of Country Club Hills in north St. Louis County is charged with kidnapping, burglary, robbery, felonious restraint and armed criminal action."

New Year's Eve case involved two suspects, police say
The incident happened at about 4:30 p.m. Dec. 31 when two armed suspects demanded money from a resident of the 50 block of Arundel Place as he worked in his yard, a news release from the states.

When man could not provide them with money, one of the suspects demanded that the resident accompany him to an ATM at in Richmond Heights. The second suspect stayed with the female resident of the house.

At Schnucks, the male resident notified a security guard of the events. The guard then alerted the Clayton and police departments.

The suspect who accompanied the resident to Schnucks then traveled to the 7000 block of Northmoor Drive in University City and committed a street robbery, the release states.

Clayton police arrived at the victims' house, where the second suspect surrendered. Richmond Heights police later took the ATM suspect into custody.

Neither Clayton resident was injured.

Bond for Williams has been set at $200,000.
