2012 Police Walks Begin May 2 in Richmond Heights

The Walk 'n' Talk program is aimed at helping police and neighborhood residents get to know one another better.

Police will begin a 15-week series of walking visits in various neighborhoods starting Wednesday.

The and is aimed at getting residents and officers together in a casual setting.

Depending on the week, police will give away goodies such as key chains and child ID kits. They'll also show off the department's cars, motorcycles and other vehicles.

The first Walk 'n' Talk will happen at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kurt and Bryan avenues.

Programming wraps up Aug. 8 at Claytonia and Council. A complete schedule is available on the police department's website.
