Local Filmmakers Give Back

In honor of the 250th anniversary of St. Louis, locally-owned Tree9 Films has decided to give a little back.

"We’ll be donating a free promotional film to a local charity - of your choice."

Ria Ruthsatz, Production Manager at Tree9 Films, says “there are so many amazing local charities that are dedicated to helping St. Louis and its residents thrive, and they are all in need of our help and donations.” Ria hopes that by raising awareness for these groups, they can continue to benefit St. Louisans for another 250 years.

Tree9 Films specializes in promotional films, and is run by husband and wife team Ria & Chadwell Ruthsatz. “St. Louis is our home, and we were looking for a way to give back.” The couple decided to do what they know best, make a film. They created the Tree9 Charity Film Project, Share The Love, to get the community involved too.

"Our clients use their films to generate awareness for their business through television and/or social media, but local charities don’t always have the budget to support this type of marketing campaign.” Tree9 wants to give “one local charity a free promotional film they can use to share their accomplishments and their needs.” They’ll be accepting nominations for charities through the end of the year, and will let the public vote on which gets a film - to be made in 2014.

"We're really excited to launch this project, and we're working on other ways we can help promote St. Louis and its local businesses."
