Have you ever wanted to win something? Like really, really bad? This is one of those times for me. And I need your help to make it happen.
On May 17, I'll be one of using a form of alternative transportation—in my case, MetroLink.
It's part of a Citizens for Modern Transit event called the Great Race, and it's intended to get people thinking about commuting options that exist in addition to cars. Trailnet and WeCar by Enterprise also are collaborating on the event.
So what can you do to help? First, be sure to "like" the Team Transit page on Facebook. (And if you happen to stop by the Clayton-Richmond Heights Patch page on Facebook and "like" that while you're at it, I surely won't complain.) Then tell your friends to "like" Team Transit, too.
Then, please join me and fellow Team Transit members Kevin The Intern from the Phillips & Company Morning Show on Y98-FM; reporter Heidi Glaus from KSDK NewsChannel 5; and Kim Cella, executive director of Citizens for Modern Transit, on May 17. We begin the race at 4:30 p.m. and will wrap up with a finish line party from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at in .
So what are you waiting for? Grab your Segway and head over to Facebook to show your support for alternative transportation—and the superb Team Transit.
