The St. Louis Office of the University of Missouri Extension is hosting a seven session Sustainability Series every Tuesday from March 20th through May 1st from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  The classes will be held at Hawken House Hearth Room, 1155 South Rock Hill Rd. in Webster Groves.  You are invited to register for one or all seven sessions at $10 per session.

The next three sessions will focus on sustainability in your home, and will be presented by our Housing Specialist, Kandace Fisher, with the April 3rd session focusing on Energy Efficiency.  During that session, Kandace and our partners for this session, Butterfly Energy Works and the Community Action Agency of St. Louis County, will present information about energy audits and how to make changes in your energy sources and appliances that will help you conserve energy and save money.

The April 10th session will focus on Healthy Homes, presenting information on environmental issues that compromise air quality, such as mold, radon, pesticides, allergens, and toxic cleaning products.  Kandace will provide tips on how you can reduce or eliminate these toxins to increase the air quality in your home.
