More Summer Reading

The beginning of the month is a great time to pick up a plethora of periodicals for summer reading---and they are FREE!

Thanks to our readers who posted their favorite books in my first Summer Reading Blog. Now let's tackle free newspapers and magazines. My favorite three places for free publications and what they carry, follows.

Richmond Heights CommunityCenter carries "The Jewish Light", "Healthy Planet", "La due  News" (every Friday), and "Womens' Journal". (You can also get your blood pressure taken for free in the lobby). Next door, the Richmond Heights Memorial Library carries "The Riverfront Times", "Gateway Gardener", and "Healthy Planet".

Schlafly Bottleworks carries "The Riverfront Times" (Thursdays), "Healthy Planet", "The Kirkwood/Webster Groves Times", "The American" (vital stories and editorials from an African-American perspective), "GO!" (Post/Dispatch cultural calendar insert issued on Fridays), "Sauce", "ALIVE! Magazine", "The Pulse" (Brentwood monthly in which this blogger sometimes writes restaurant reviews) and "Spirit Seeker"

Missing from this list is "Feast" and "St Louis Magazine". If you know locations to pick these up from, or if you have a favorite free newsletter/location that I missed, please post in the comments section. Happy pool-side summer reading!
