Cruising Continued

This "Dear Abby" letter explains why, on a whim, this blogger decided to try cruising again.

Hello, Dear Readers:As you may recall, my last series of blogs on cruising was a bit negative.

As I stagger around my apartment this morning, trying not to spill my coffee, I must confess that you did not hear from me because I was out of the country on a cruise of the Western Caribbean. Most of the issue last year was "sea sickness".

This time, it was much smoother sailing, I got my "sea legs" on the second day of the seven day cruise, and now I am trying to lose them. Three weeks ago, I got a phone call from an acquaintance that there might be a last minute opening on the Norwegian "Star", www.ncl.net , with a group of dancers.

As most of my friends know, I am not a smooth dancer, but the idea of trying another cruise intrigued me. Also the price and the chance to get out of our St. Louis "deep freeze" was more than appealing.

So, dear readers, I will sketch the details of the cruise in the next few blogs for your winter reading entertainment. No need to thank me for bringing the 70 degree weather today back from New Orleans. Stay kind to each other in the near future when the winter weather returns and you plan for your own vacation in 2013! Warmest regards, Blogger Mark
