First Babies of St. Louis New Year Born at SSM St. Mary's

The Richmond Heights hospital welcomed two babies early Sunday, both of them girls.

The first two St. Louis babies of the new year were born at in , the hospital announced in a news release.

Hailey Elizabeth Yancy arrived at 12:02 a.m. Sunday weighing 6 pounds and 10 ounces. The baby and her parents—Mario Yancy of University City and Dina Hill of Venice, IL—are doing well, the hospital reported.

At 12:05 a.m., another girl was born to a different couple at the hospital. That family also is doing well.

Both were natural births.
